As we roll into a brand new year, weโre taking a moment to look back at everything 2025 brought usโฆ and WOW, what a year it was.
Thanks to YOU, our community, 2025 was filled with support, growth, and a whole lot of progress.

We answered more calls than ever before, setting a new record for the most calls to service in a single year. To meet that growing need, we expanded our response capabilities by adding a new ambulance to House #4 (located off of Hwy 67 at Parkway Dr.) That means faster help where it’s needed, when it’s needed. And thatโs just the beginning.

Our Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIH) program hit a major milestone as we celebrated 10 years of MIH in St. Francois County! As one of the earliest adopters of Mobile Integrated Healthcare in the United States, weโre proud of how far the program has come.
We were proud to be the first to bring the Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIH) model to our area, and itโs been incredibly rewarding to watch it grow, not just within our own district, but as other local services begin to adopt it too. What started as a new approach to care has become a movement, and weโre honored to have helped lead the way.
Itโs been amazing to see the growth, both in the MIH services we offer and the impact weโve made. Our team helped more people stay healthy at home than ever before. They managed chronic conditions, prevented repeat ER visits, and provided care right where people needed it most.
The program is strong, and our MIH providers are even stronger. Watching these professionals grow and lead this kind of care has been truly incredible. And the best part? Compared to whatโs ahead, weโre just getting started!

Our Education Department continues to shine. The response to our EMT program keeps growing, and in fall 2025 alone, we had 103 applicants! The demand and excitement for this course is INCREDIBLE and it is a direct reflection of the quality of the program and our instructors!
These students are learning with the same tools and equipment theyโll use on the job, right here in the same environment where theyโll be serving you. Our fall EMT class brought energy, heart, and commitment, and we canโt wait to see them take their place in the field.
Our Training Center is rapidly evolving. Weโre offering the most lifelike training experiences available through high-fidelity simulation, plus hands-on community courses. CPR, first aid, Narcan training. You name it, weโre teaching it. And weโre proud to support local businesses in being ready to handle emergencies in the workplace.
Internally, our clinicians are pushing themselves further than ever. From advanced medical and trauma courses to specialized simulations, our Paramedics and EMTs are diving into higher-level training with real enthusiasm. The medical field is always evolving, and so are they.
And speaking of our Paramedics and EMTs. WOW!
Our ambulance crews have been nothing short of incredible. Time and time again, weโve watched them come together, support one another, and rise to the moment during intense and unpredictable emergencies.
They impress us every single day. The teamwork, professionalism, and dedication they bring to each shift cannot be captured in just one post. They show up ready to respond, ready to work, and ready to care for this community.
We are incredibly proud of the people who wear this uniform and grateful for the commitment they bring with them every day.
Their commitment to growing their knowledge and sharpening their skills is incredible to witness. Whether itโs staying up to date on the latest treatment protocols or preparing for the rarest emergencies, our crews never shy away from the opportunity to improve. They show up, they put in the work, and theyโre ready for anything.
This barely scratches the surface of what our team accomplished in 2025, but we wanted to share a few highlights.
Weโve got some exciting plans for 2026 that weโll be sharing as the year goes on. But for now, weโre feeling thankful. To every resident who waved, shared a kind word, or supported us in any way, thank you.
