Tj’s Bio:

Terry “TJ” Isgrig, paramedic and Lead EMS Supervisor, has been a steadfast presence within the St. Francois County Ambulance District, tirelessly serving his community with unwavering dedication and compassion. For 32 years, TJ’s commitment to excellence has been a guiding light, touching countless lives in their moments of greatest need.

TJ’s journey in emergency medical services began over 32 years ago when he first joined the St. Francois County Ambulance District as a paramedic. From the outset, TJ demonstrated exceptional skill and compassion, earning the trust and admiration of his colleagues and the gratitude of the patients he cared for.

In 2011, TJ’s leadership qualities were recognized when he assumed the role of EMS Supervisor—a position he held for an impressive 13 years. In 2024, TJ’s exemplary leadership and dedication were further acknowledged when he was appointed as the Lead EMS Supervisor, a testament to his years of service and unwavering commitment to the district.

Throughout his career, TJ’s contributions have not gone unnoticed. In 2012, he was honored as a Star of Life recipient, recognizing his outstanding contributions to emergency medical services. Additionally, in 2023, TJ was awarded the KTJJ 110% Award for Community Service, further highlighting his dedication to serving his patients and his community at large.

Beyond his role within the ambulance district, TJ actively engages in various community organizations, including membership in MEMSA, the Rotary Club, and the local Chamber of Commerce. His involvement reflects his deep-rooted commitment to making a positive impact beyond the confines of his profession.

One of TJ’s greatest passions is inspiring future leaders within the district. Whether through mentorship programs, educational initiatives, or leading by example, TJ is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of EMS professionals, ensuring that the district upholds the highest standards of care for years to come.

Outside of his professional endeavors, TJ finds joy and fulfillment in spending time with his family. TJ has two children Kyle and Breanna. TJ cherishes every moment he spends with his grandchildren—the true joys of his life.

In his leisure time, TJ often indulges in his favorite pastime: fishing and spending time with his family. TJ finds solace and rejuvenation in the tranquility of the great outdoors and sitting outside on his deck grilling.
