Colin’s Bio:
Colin Mark Hedrick is a seasoned professional currently excelling in his role as the Purchasing/Fleet Manager and EMT at the St. Francois County Ambulance District, where he has been a dedicated team member since 2012. With a career spanning various fields, Colin’s diverse expertise has been honed through significant roles prior to his tenure at the Ambulance District.
Before joining the St. Francois County Ambulance District, Colin held the position of Accountant and Events Coordinator at The Baptist Home Corporate Office for six years. Following this, he served as the Regional Business Office Manager for Deaconess Long Term Care for an impressive 11 years, demonstrating his proficiency in financial management and coordination.
Colin’s passion for baseball and commitment to mentorship were evident in his role as the Assistant Baseball Coach at Mineral Area College, where he dedicated a decade of his time. His coaching prowess reached its pinnacle in 2014 when he led Carter’s baseball team to victory in the 9-year-old Cal Ripken State and Regional championships, a testament to his leadership and dedication.
Education has been a cornerstone of Colin’s success, having graduated from Bismarck High School in 1993. He earned an AA Degree from Mineral Area College in 1995 and went on to attain a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Central Methodist College in 1997.
Colin’s areas of expertise include budgeting, purchasing, auditing, and maintaining financial stability. His remarkable achievements include multiple deployments for FEMA Hurricane Disasters, showcasing his commitment to public service. Furthermore, he has completed the ICS 300 Intermediate Incident Command and ICS 400 Advanced Incident Command courses, highlighting his dedication to professional development.
Family holds a special place in Colin’s heart, and he is happily married to his loving wife Diane, with whom he shares three children: Randi, Chloe, and Carter. In his leisure time, Colin enjoys creating cherished memories with family and friends and engaging in activities such as fishing and side-by-side riding.
Colin’s passion for sports extends beyond coaching; he has served as a referee and umpire in both basketball and baseball for over 25 years, contributing to the sporting community. A fun fact about Colin is his past proficiency in playing the saxophone, showcasing his diverse talents and interests.
Colin lives by the personal quote, “Every strike brings me closer to the next home run,” echoing the resilience and determination of the legendary Babe Ruth. This philosophy reflects Colin’s positive outlook and unwavering commitment to overcoming challenges in both his professional and personal life.
